This page has graphics of flags from various countries that have some bearing on our family.
Some of these are more direct than others, but I explain a little about why each one
is here.
Here is a link to a site with information about the history of various flags, and this is where most of these graphics come from. |
Virtually all of the Frost's and other relatives that visit this page were born in the US,
and most still live here.
For those of you from other parts of the world, welcome! |

Our ancestors came to America from England. The top flag here is known as the Union Jack,
although this is somewhat misleading. The middle flag is actually the flag of England, known
as Saint George's Cross. The lower flag is the flag of Scotland, known as Saint Andrew's
Cross. As discussed in other sections of this web site, it is likely, but not certain,
that our Frost lineage came from Danmark to the British Isles at what today would be
considered Scotland.
Here is a link to a page where you can find information on some of the history, and common confusion around these three particular flags. |
As discussed in other sections of this web site, it is likely, but not certain,
that our Frost lineage came from Danmark to the British Isles. My great-grandmother
(my father's, father's mother),
Sophie Petersen,
was Dansk (Danish).
The color of this flag appears to me to be too dark, but the source claimed it is correct. It may be my eyes, or monitor - then again, it could in deed be too dark! |
The Schulte side of the family is from an area that is now either Deutschland (Germany)
or Österreich (Austria). We have other relatives from this area also.
This is the Deutsch "State" flag - the Österreichisch flag is shown below. The common Deutsch flag does not have the eagle, but I like this one better! This flag is used for affairs of State. |

This is a flag I made up for our family. It is obviously based on the family coat-of-arms. This is a work in progress, and is simply for mine and anyone else's amusement. I am not claiming this to be sanctioned by anyone. |
