John Arthur "Jack" Frost
1924 - 2005
John "Jack" Arthur Frost, 80, a marketing entrepreneur, passed away Friday, May 6, 2005, at his residence.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, with Father Jim McGhee officiating. Burial: at a later date in the D-FW National Cemetery. Rosary: begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, with visitation until 8 p.m., at Lucas & Thompson's Keller Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller.

Jack was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Omaha, Neb., and was the eldest of 13 children. He was the son of Arthur Karl and Caroline Schulte Frost of Brunswick and Plainview, Neb. He graduated from high school in Lead, S.D.

Jack joined the Air Force in 1942 and was stationed in Italy throughout World War II, where he achieved the rank of tech sergeant and operated as a radar observer until 1946. In 1947, once out of the Air Force, Jack went to the University of Houston, leaving to re-enlist in 1949 to serve in Korea, being stationed in Seoul, Korea. At the end of his duty in 1953, he left the Air Force as a special agent in the intelligence community.

Jack then returned to his studies at the University of Houston, before joining the Federal Bureau of Narcotics (now DEA), in 1954. He spent one and a half years in Washington, D.C., for special training and then worked as a special agent in Mexico, Los Angeles, New York and other areas of operations for the bureau. When Jack left the DEA in 1969, as special agent in charge in New York, he had been awarded many citations and commendations for his investigative abilities.

After leaving the Bureau, Jack entered the private sector as a marketing entrepreneur, working with seven different companies and was vice president of national sales with the last three companies. He was well respected and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert; brothers, Richard and Harold; and granddaughter, Donna Jean.

Frost of Trophy Club [Texas]; sons, John and wife, Tina of Princeton, N.J. and Peter and wife, Linda of Severna Park, Md.; brothers, Victor and wife, Beverly of West Islip, N.Y., David and wife, June of Raleigh, N.C., Frank and wife, Mary of McLean, Va., Michael and wife, Janet of Highland Village and Tom and wife, Linda of Indianapolis, Ind.; sisters, Helen and husband, Robert of Stayton, Ore., Kate and John of Stafford, Vt., Joan of Port Angeles, Wash., Sister Mary Jane of Oregon, Wis., and Bernadette of Media, Pa.; stepson, Kevin and companion, David Currierr of Fort Worth; the mother of his three children, Nancy Frost of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jillian, Nathan, Emily, Laura, Peter and Robert; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
